Terms of Service

1. Purpose of the platform

LexFluent provides educational materials, drafting exercises, correspondence templates and progress tracking to help foreign-trained lawyers and law students improve their English legal drafting skills.

2. Your professional obligations

Templates, exemplars and model answers are illustrative only. You remain solely responsible for tailoring any output to your client's circumstances and for complying with the regulatory, ethical and professional obligations of the jurisdiction(s) in which you are qualified.

3. Account & subscriptions

Access to premium modules requires an active subscription. Firm accounts are governed by an accompanying order form which forms part of these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to resell, redistribute, scrape or use LexFluent content to train competing services without our prior written consent.

Privacy Policy

Data we collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We use this information solely to create and secure your LexFluent account and to personalise your workspace. We do not request or store contacts, files, calendar, Gmail content, or any other Google data.

How we use your data

  • Authenticate you and keep your session secure.
  • Track your learning progress, drills answered, and mastery state.
  • Manage subscription and billing (via our payments processor).
  • Send transactional emails (e.g. welcome, receipts) — never marketing without consent.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored in encrypted managed Postgres (Supabase, EU region where available). Payments are processed by Stripe. Emails are delivered by our transactional email provider. We do not sell personal data.

Cookies

We use only strictly-necessary cookies and local storage required for authentication and preferences. No third-party advertising cookies.

Your GDPR rights

Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export and delete your personal data.

  • Right to be forgotten: delete your account and all associated data from your settings page. Removal is immediate and irreversible.
  • Right of access / portability: email privacy@lexfluent.app and we will provide a machine-readable export within 30 days.
  • Right to withdraw consent: sign out and delete your account at any time.
